Description

The M-QAM modulator block computes a rectangular constellation of I/Q symbol components from unsigned integer values given by the regular input and defined in the interval ]0;M-1]. M is the dialogue parameter 'Number of states'. This parameter must be an integer computed with :

\end{eqnarray}


where M is the desired number of states of the modulation and k is an even integer number. The values produced in output are not normalized. For example, for a 16-QAM modulation, this block gives the following constellation diagram :
